Who Qualifies For A Bursary Or University Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.
Applications are now open and may shut on fifteen December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must fulfill the following criteria:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a home which has a combined gross house earnings that does not exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined house income won't exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and wish not post any proof of income.

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent people from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to offer the correct Identity Document numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored of their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are learning or plan to research in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the click here last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for nsfas status NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
